Summary:
Provides leadership, direction, and coordination of all Kettering Health (KH) Ambulatory financial matters and collaborating with other entity senior leaders in a manner consistent with organizational mission and objectives.
Coordinates and helps facilitate strategic planning under the direction of the Ambulatory President, KH CFO and in conjunction with other executives and entity personnel.
Will also champion system initiatives on a temporary or permanent basis as directed.

Responsibilities:
Defines reality in terms of financial performance for Ambulatory operations which include KH Medical Group, OP Lab, PT & Imaging; ASC's, Pharmacy, Contact Centers, and FSEDs.
Builds systems that enable sustainable KH operation margins (threshold of 5%, target of 8+%).
This includes setting targets for labor, supply, and primary care and specialty physician support spend.
Collaborates with KH Ambulatory President on development and implementation of a plan that has 10%
of the medical group revenue coming from digital activity by 2027 with a 15%
margin.
Partners with the Ambulatory President to develop a sustainable approach to Primary Care and Specialty physician subsidy.
Responsible for building structures and feedback mechanisms to inform and guide decision making by operational leaders with specific accountability for:
managing job postings, productivity, supply expense, provider compensation/models, and professional services.
Partners with compliance, legal and operations to build a system that protects the organization and enables smooth operations related to contract review and approval.
Allocates resources and energy to build highly reliable outcomes for clinical performance, patient safety, employee work environment, physical environment, and public perception of care.
Supports transparency and accountability with our physician leader partners in the service lines, KHMG, and with independent practices.
Collaborates with other leaders to reduce our risk related to medical malpractice, and compliance.
Collaborates with leaders to optimize the ambulatory revenue cycle operations.
In conjunction with KH CFO recommends the annual budget cadence, global assumptions, and approach to revenue growth and expense management.
Develops a team of finance leaders across ambulatory/medical group that supports daily decision making, leads to improved performance, and provides a pipeline for future financial leadership across Kettering.
Provides strategic guidance to revenue growth strategies for ambulatory facilities.
Develops one source of truth for data integration related to ambulatory entities and service line profitability, physician subsidies, and cost allocation.
Supports a KH-wide approach to financial performance management.
Seeks to limit individual location or function competition based on inherent differences in how the financial flows enable or hinder success in individual locations or services.
Collaborates with marketing to develop measurable operational and financial pathways that link our marketing spend to actual results.
Maintains at least a three-year rolling capital prioritization process which includes input from leaders, physician leaders and includes industry expectations regarding trends and innovation.
Partners with bio-med to decrease total cost of maintenance related to our fleet of medical equipment.
Assures that ambulatory entities appropriately use and safeguard all organizational resources to include proper use of materials, supplies, equipment, furnishings, and human and financial resources.
Communicates effectively with a broad set of stakeholders including front-line leaders, physicians, executives, board members, donors and community stakeholders.
Represents Kettering Health in the community in alignment with Kettering's priorities and individual interests.
Chairs or provides staff functions on various committees as appropriate within the scope of responsibilities, including at least:
Ambulatory Exec CouncilPhysician Leadership Group (PLG)Executive Finance Group (EFG)Practice Operations Council (POC)Other committees as assignedPerforms other related duties as assigned or requested.
Partners with Information Systems and operational leaders to develop our IT roadmap with specific responsibility for planning the financial impact both operational and capital related to our future aspirations.
Collaboration:

Works with at least the following Kettering leaders and functions to facilitate effective delivery of financial services to ambulatory:
Treasurer/Corporate Risk Management Revenue Cycle Managed Care Finance Information Systems Materials Management 2.
Works with the following direct reports to assure effective delivery of services to ambulatoryand the Kettering Health System at large:
Director Finance 3.
Meets with members of the community and the media as appropriate to promote thegoodwill and positive image of KH.

Attends meetings of professional, civic, and service organizations and contributes in a leadership role as appropriate.

Makes recommendations to other officers and corporate leadership for corrective actionto ensure fiscal integrity.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
1.
MBA or CPA preferred.
2.
HFMA Fellowship preferred.
3.
Participation in appropriate continuing education courses.
4.
Five to seven years' experience in similar position required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
