Matrix Systems, an industry leader in access control and security management solutions, is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator in Dayton, OH.
You will be primarily responsible for replenishing inventory levels to allow assembly and shipment to customers in a timely manner. In addition, you will be responsible for:
Review material requirement reports to determine inventory requirements
Communicate with production planner and inventory control analyst in determining inventory quantity and timing requirements
Interact daily with vendors to obtain desired products
Track the status of orders in preparation for production planner discussions
Expedite orders, as needed, to meet production demand
Handle items to be returned to vendors on a timely basis
Work with accounting for purchase order and invoice discrepancy resolution
Enter purchase orders in ERP system for multiple business units, including intercompany purchases
To qualify for this great opportunity, you should have 5
years of experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment. In addition:
Experience working with MS Office products and ERP systems
Desire to drive results and ability to roll with work in a fast paced, changing environment
Well developed, team oriented communication skills (written and verbal)
High integrity with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain confidentiality
Strong attention to details, highly organized, motivated
Outstanding customer service skills
Ability to negotiate effectively
