EG60 - Project Engineer

Project Engineer - This position will be an Engineer that works as a principal project engineer.
Candidate will manage projects up to $50MM.
Develop and implement engineering solutions to internal customer problems and opportunities.
Provide project management and engineering on small to large multidisciplinary capital projects from initiation through start-up and closure documentation.
Provide support, mentoring and/or supervision to other enginering and engineering support personnel.
Provide technical support for other departments in the form of training, system design or process improvement.
Perform duties at an elevated degree of professionalism, independence and sense of ownership.
Manage a portfolio of projects o Manage all aspects of major projects with minimal supervision o Lead, direct and delegate to others o Manage small to large capital projects' scope, budget and schedule through project life cycle o Evaluate problems and opportunities and develop solutions o Develop project requirements and approximate costs o Procure necessary contractor services, material and equipment to support capital projects and processes o Manage and coordinate project design and development of construction documents o Manage and coordinate construction phase of projects o Manage and coordinate startup, commissioning, validation and closeout of projects o Manage quality control objectives through all phases of projects o Attend seminars, conferences and training to maintain and expand technical expertise o Lead departmental process improvement efforts based on annual objectives BS Engineering o MBA or MS Engineering or related field desired o Project Management Professional Certification (PMI PMP) or ability to acquire within 18 months of hire
Experience:
o Minimum of 10 years engineering experience in a chemical production environment with increasing levels of responsibility Knowledge and Skills:
