Responsibilities The Patient Care Technician is responsible for:
Performing various age and population-appropriate patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational or Practical NursePerforming patient care activities within the limits of the position, does not administer medications or therapyNot assuming independent responsibility for patient careProvides pin care, as appropriateInitiates personal learning activities to increase understanding & update appropriate skills through both formal and informal activities.
Maintains the highest level of customer service via courtesy, compassion and positive communicationPromotes the mission and vision of Post Acute Medical within the work environment and communityRespects dignity and confidentiality by adherence to all applicable policies and proceduresQualifications The Patient Care Technician must:
Be a High school graduate or equivalentCertification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state where hospital resides; completion of in-house PCT training program or enrollment in a school of professional nursing, having completed two semesters of clinical didactic materialCurrent BLS certification is requiredMinimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferredSalary:
